Q: How can I get to Cala Llonga from the Airport?
A: If you are hiring a car at the airport follow signs to Santa Eularia until you see the signs for Cala Llonga (map coming soon). Car hire is available in the village, info coming soon.
Distance: Approx 18kms & takes about 25 mins by road/taxi. Taxi drivers will know the route & it’s 30 one way for 4 people + luggage. Taxis are available at the airport throughout the day & night – they can only be pre booked on the return journey & they do not carry child seats. Public transport to Cala Llonga requires a change of bus in Santa Eulalia and takes approx 90 minutes. Please see bus schedule.

Q: What airlines fly to Ibiza?
A:
During winter/ spring months while direct flights are limited, British Airways fly direct from London City and Ryanair operate from Stansted from late March to October. Many other Airlines such as Ryanair, Easyjet, Iberia, Vueling etc fly via hubs like Barcelona & Madrid on a regular basis.

Q: What is the best time of year to travel to Cala Llonga?
A: Any time of year! From April to June & September to October the weather averages 25°C. In July & August it averages 28°C (and higher) and due to school holidays, this time of year is when most families with children visit. During the quieter season, temperatures range from 12 – 20°C but the nights/early mornings can drop to single figures. It may rain at any time of year but the wettest months are usually January & February.

Q: Is Cala Llonga a Blue Flag Beach?
A:
Cala Llonga is an extremely safe, family beach with Blue Flag Status. During the season (May to October inclusive) the beach has a Lifeguard Service with First Aid Facilities. The times of these services are displayed. There is also a medical centre only minutes away.

Q: Is there a charge for sun beds & umbrellas on Cala Llonga beach?
A: Yes, daily rental is 5 per sun bed and 5 per umbrella (Summer 2014 prices)
Pedal boats can also be rented by the hour – summer 2015 prices coming soon.

Q: What entertainment is available for children?
A: Cala Llonga beach has an excellent playground. The Cala Llonga Train operates daily, leaving from the Tourist Office at the back of the beach, with excursions to Santa Eulalia and the surrounding countryside. There is a small funfair in the village with bumper cars and other rides & and a Water Park is located approx 20 minutes away by car/taxi. Viva Cala Llonga provides a range of entertainment during the season (see calendar of events) including a Family Games Beach Day, Dance Extravaganzas & more! Many of the accommodation locations also arrange evening entertainment throughout the season.

Q: Are pets allowed on the beach in Cala Llonga?
A:
NO. Although under supervision there are plenty of walking areas suitable for dogs close to the beach and in the surrounding countryside. Dogs are more than welcome in the village but if you are walking them, please make sure you clean up after them. There are doggy soiling bag (free) dispensers dotted around the village.

Q: What types of accommodation are available in Cala Llonga?
A:
The range of accommodation available includes self catered apartments (available all year round), villas & hotels (room only, half and full board options) of various grades. Remember to venture out and enjoy some of the Cala Llonga village entertainment wherever you stay!

Q: Is Cala Llonga disability friendly?
A:
Cala Llonga beach is wheelchair accessible and many of the restaurants and bars can facilitate wheelchair access too. Accommodation suitability for wheelchair access varies, more info soon.

 

Q: Are the establishments family/child friendly?
A:
All restaurants and bars are family/child friendly, with many providing children’s menus and appropriate seating. Opening hours are applicable to adults and children alike, however, children must be accompanied by an adult.
The legal drinking age in Spain is 18.

 

 

Q: Are babysitting services available?
A:
Yes, just ask the receptionist at your accommodation for details. Please do the same should you need to rent any extras such as cots etc…

 

Q: Where can I hire a car in Cala Llonga?
A:
There are 4 car hire places in Cala Llonga with various options for you. We recommend making a reservation whatever kind of transport you are looking for. Booster seats can be hired from any of the 4 companies. Please see the services page for more info…

 

 

 

Q: Is Wi-Fi easily available in Cala Llonga?
A:
Free Wi-Fi is available in the majority of restaurants & bars – just ask for the details and remember we are on Instagram too, so you can share all your favourite Cala Llonga moments with us. The majority of the accommodation sites have Wi-Fi access.

 

 

 

Q: Can I drink the water from the tap?
A:
It is recommended to only drink bottled water as tap water has a high mineral content, but don’t worry, it won’t do you any harm in an emergency!

 

Q: Where will I find a list of public holidays and fiestas for Cala Llonga?
A:
The main public holiday in Cala Llonga is on the 15th of August every year, although the celebrations generally begin the week before and continue throughout the week after. Q: Is there a supermarket in Cala Llonga?
A:
There are 4 small supermarkets located in Cala Llonga & a small shop on the Pueblo Esparragos. There is also a Tobacco shop, a range of souvenir shops, clothes shops & a beauty salon too. Here is a list of all the shops in Cala Llonga.
There are two medical centres (private insurance cover only) and a pharmacy in the village. Full medical services for emergencies are available in Santa Eulalia (10 minutes) and Ibiza Town (20 minutes) away.

Q: Is there a bank in Cala Llonga?
A:
There are two cash dispensers in Cala Llonga and a range of banks are available in Santa Eulalia (10 minutes by car/taxi and 20 minutes by bus). The banks in Spain are open Monday to Friday until 2pm.

Q: Are Church services available in Cala Llonga?
A:
During the season (May to October) religious services are available at the interdenominational church in Cala Llonga.

Q: Is there a golf course in Cala Llonga?
A:
The Ibiza Golf Course is just around the corner in Roca Llisa & only a 2km drive from Cala Llonga. A great option for cloudy days…
