Cala Llonga, Ibiza

As you are viewing the wonderful photographs of our part of this beautiful Island,
you will no doubt notice the abundant forests, hills and coastline.
The area is home to a number of local walking groups
who are most welcoming to visitors.

Unlike many parts of Europe, the Ibiza coastal area is completely free to the walker and the forests
are criss-crossed with a multitude of caminos (small roadways) and senderos (forest paths) which are unrestricted.
It is indeed a most wonderful place to explore with stunning scenery and flora.
There are a variety of routes listed to cater for both
the casual walker and the intrepid hiker.

Due to the summer heat, the best months for walking are from October to May (inclusive).
Routes may be accessed from the Santa Eulalia website
or in any of the tourist offices.
Many are listed on a UK based website that
has over 40 routes on Ibiza

There are also organised walks at various times during the year.
Walkers are advised that some of the terrain is quite rugged and that good
walking footwear is advisable, as is sunscreen and an adequate supply of water.
